About

Dr. Wenzel Kotze is a former CEO of organisations in the UK and South Africa who now works with boards and leadership teams to bring clarity and evidence into leadership decisions.


His early research explored how visual environments — particularly nature imagery — can create a neutral space for reflection, learning, and honest leadership dialogue. This inquiry shaped a long-standing interest in observation, perspective, and how leaders make sense of complex situations.


Building on this foundation, his doctoral research focused on identifying the behavioural patterns that distinguish effective leadership, leading to the development of the Benchmark framework — a structured approach used to inform selection, succession, and leadership development decisions.
Today, his work integrates practitioner experience, research insight, and a practical focus on helping organisations see clearly and act with confidence.
